Jesus Hernandez -Community Organizer (Bilingual
English/Spanish)

My name is Jesus Hernandez Jr. I am the community
organizer for the Southside Organizing Committee. I have
been living in the city of Milwaukee since 1995 where I
attended Hamilton High School and graduated from
Marquette University in May of 2007. For the most part of
my life, my family has always lived in the south side of the
city so I am quite familiar with the issues facing the
community. I have been actively volunteering in the
community for as long as I can remember and now that I
am a part of SOC, I feel that I can help the community on
a much bigger scale. I know it will not be easy but I am
looking forward to the challenge. I strongly believe that
everyone deserves a clean and safe neighborhood to live
in and with the help of SOC, community leaders and
residents I hope to be able to achieve that for the South
side.
